"NIEUWE ENERGIE IN DESIGN EN KUNST"
The director of Museum Boijmans van Beuningen invites you to the opening of the exhibition ' New energy in design and art' on Friday 28 October 2011, 5 p.m. Annemartine van Kesteren, curator, gives a lecture at 7.15 in the Auditorium.
In the exhibition artists and designers make proposals for a more sustainable society. It brings together experiments, tailor made solutions and critical and poetic reflections. All the ideas have a connection to real problems. Wind energy, climate change, alternative biomass, self -sufficiency: these are just a few of the subjects that the artists and designers have been researching critically and creatively, in some cases for decades. With work by John Bock, Gerrit van Bakel, Joris Laarman, Studio Makkink & Bey, John Kormeling and Roman Signer.
