MX3D Bridge / Full Bridge Span Printed

Amsterdam, April 2nd, 2018 – Amsterdam based startup MX3D have finalized the full span of its 3D printed steel bridge. MX3D aims to finalize the last prints, placement of the deck and the coating of the bridge by October this year. At the same time Arup and researchers from Imperial College London working in the Alan Turing Instititute’s data-centric engineering programme will perform several full load tests, proving the structural integrity. The bridge will be installed on the Oudezijds Achterburgwal, located in the red light district of Amsterdam, as soon as the renovation of that canal is completed.
