Rocker (2007)

The Black Rocker was made according to the same procedure as the White Armchair, so the two form a set, as it were. For this design, we selected the darkest marble in the world, Belge Noir, which is mined rather than taken from an open quarry. The mine has been closed for industrial production for some time now; it only takes orders for small-scale productions.

The Rocker is part of the permanent collection of  the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, CAN, and the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, USA
